Groß-Umstadt is a town in the Darmstadt-Dieburg district in the state of Hesse, Germany. It is located in the southern part of the state, approximately 20 kilometers southeast of the city of Darmstadt.

The town has a population of around 23,000 people and covers an area of 92.74 square kilometers. Groß-Umstadt is known for its historic old town, which features many well-preserved half-timbered buildings, as well as its annual wine festival.
