fortianalyzer increase disk space
There are several ways to increase the disk space on a FortiAnalyzer appliance, depending on the model and configuration. Here are some general steps that may help:
Check the available disk space: Log in to the FortiAnalyzer web interface, go to System > Status, and check the "Disk" section to see the usage and available space of each disk.
Add a new disk: If the FortiAnalyzer has free drive bays, you can install a new hard disk to increase the storage capacity. Refer to the FortiAnalyzer hardware guide for instructions on how to add a new disk.
Expand an existing disk: If the FortiAnalyzer has unused space on an existing disk, you can expand the partition to increase the available space. Refer to the FortiAnalyzer documentation for instructions on how to expand a disk partition.
Delete unnecessary logs: You can free up disk space by deleting old or unnecessary logs. Go to Log & Report > Log View and use the filters and search options to find the logs you want to delete. Select the logs and click the "Delete" button.
Adjust log retention settings: You can also reduce the amount of data stored on the FortiAnalyzer by adjusting the log retention settings. Go to Log & Report > Log Settings and configure the retention periods for each log type.
Compress logs: If you have a large number of logs, you can compress them to save disk space. Go to Log & Report > Log View, select the logs you want to compress, and click the "Compress" button.
Note: Before making any changes to the FortiAnalyzer configuration, it's important to create a backup of the system configuration and data.
